Lagið "Fortress of my Soul"

Núna eru sirka fjórir mánuðir síðan ég var að spila litla melódíu með einum fingri á píanó í Suðurhlíðaskóla. Loksins núna er lagið full mótað og æft. Ég fékk góðar vinkonur mínar til að flytja það, Sandra Mar Huldudóttir hjálpaði mér með píanó hlutann og Sigrún Ruth Lopez Jack sá um syngja og gerðu þær þetta alveg virkilega vel. 

 

Hérna er textinn og ég vann hann upp úr hugmyndum sem ég fann í 91. sálmi Davíðs og nokkrum öðrum.

Inspired by psalm 91 and a few others

Though darkness, encompass me.
And storm clouds are above me.
My shelter, my refuge, shall be the LORD

Though thousand fall, beside me.
and arrows, fly, above me.
My shield and my armor, shall be the LORD

For in my darkest hour.
I know that you are with me.

The shadow of the almighty

Though surrounded, by enemies.
And foes are attacking me.
My castle, my stronghold, shall be the LORD

Beneath His wings, I am safe.
